The 45th American IDG International Dance Competition
America's oldest and most prestigious dance competition

The contest gave birth to Beyoncé, Britney Spears, Jamie Pressly, Keri Russell and many other well-known superstars.

IDG International Dance Competition was established in 1978 and has been held forty-four times. It is the first, longest running and most prestigious dance competition in the United States. IDG set the standard for competitive dance in America with the first and longest-running dance competition television show on national television for 20 years. IDG hosts more than 50 events each year in the U.S. and internationally. Each competition features some of the best judges, stages, backdrop screens, lights and cameras in the industry. IDG has selected many stars with great potential in previous competitions. Many well-known superstars such as Beyonce, Britney Spears, Jamie Pressly, Keri Russell and so on are all from the IDG International Dance Competition in the United States. Come out of the stage of the competition. The competition has the characteristics of a large age span and a variety of dance types, and is equipped with the best stage, lighting and sound in the industry, attracting more and more dance lovers from all over the world. In 2016, there were 2,700 events in the competition held at Disneyland in Los Angeles, with more than 4,000 contestants participating, and nearly 1,000 Asian contestants participating. In 2018, it reached more than 50,000 contestants on the stage of the American International Dance Competition Started the road of dreams.

Solo, 2/3 and group from 1st January

For groups of 2/3 and groups, the ages of all participants must be averaged as of January 1st. If there are decimals, round up and remove the decimal point.

All entrants' names and dates of birth must be filled in on the registration form, otherwise they will not be accepted.

Competitors will compete in the following age groups:

Under 4 years old, 5-6 years old, 7-8 years old, 9-10 years old, 11 years old, 12 years old, 13-14 years old, 15-16 years old, 17-19 years old, 20-29 years old, 30-39 years old, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70+

Contemporary, Street Dance, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical Jazz, Open, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop and Production categories are restricted to the following age groups:

Under 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18-19, 20- 29 years old, 30-39 years old, 40-49 years old, 50-59 years old, 60-69 years old, 70+ years old

Overall recognition and medals will be awarded in the following five categories:

-Toddler: 8 years old and below -Junior group: 9-11 years old

- Teenagers: 12-14 years old

-Senior group: 15-19 years old

-Adult: over 20 years old

From January 1, 2017, no dancer in an age group who is more than one year younger than the oldest dancer will be eligible to compete, regardless of average age.

How to take part in the contest?
Awards for the Finals

• Tier Awards: Divided into Double Platinum, Grand Prix, Gold and Silver will be determined by a pre-determined point range for each location; dance moves are also eligible for Crystal Awards at the competitive level; each age group and different categories There may be multiple Double Platinum Awards, Platinum Awards, Gold Awards and Silver Awards in

• Outstanding Performance Award: The outstanding performance award will be awarded to the contestants selected to go to the US performing troupe but did not win the second prize;

• Excellent Inheritance Award: Conductors, instructors, team leaders and accompanying art educators;

• Outstanding Organization Award: Organizational Units, Participating Schools, Art Troupes, etc.;

• "Grand Prix of Champions": In each event, scores are awarded in the Toddler (8 years and under), Juniors (9-11), Juniors (12-14) and Seniors (15-19) The top 10 small groups will compete (overlapping dancers are not permitted for this age group).

First place will receive $500, second will receive $250, and third will receive $100. In each item, the 10 highest-scoring large and super Large groups will compete (overlapping dancers are not permitted for this age group).
